Let’s create our own paper today using sponges! C and I are always exploring new ways to play with dinosaurs! The options with sponges are endless — hearts, christmas trees, bells, ghosts, shapes, clovers, bunny ears, eggs. If you can cut it out of a sponge, you can make it! Today we’re going to create dinosaur paper using dinosaur feet and Brachiosaurus’! Don’t have sponges on hand? Do a cookie-cutter painting instead!
- O-Cel-O Sponges
- Melissa & Doug Washable Paint, Various Colors
- Paint trays (Dollar Tree, baking pans, 2 pk) or paper plates
- Paper
- Adult Scissors
- Glitter
- Serrated bread knife (parent!)
Now it’s the kids turn! Pour the paint into trays and have fun — less is more! I wiped some paint off on the sides of the tray.
C had a blast! Brachiosaurus and Einiosaurs joined in the painting fun!
Set it aside to dry and wall-a — wrapping paper like no other! Use it to give a gift or hang it for the whole family to enjoy!

We’re ready for the party …
